I hear how Jesus suffered
To take my sins away
And that His perfect life was
The price He had to pay
He came down from heaven's glory
To tell the Greatest Story
Of a God Whose love forgives the sins of men
And as I stop to wonder
How on the cross He died
How could they fail to see that
It was God they crucified?
He was bleeding, He was dying
But I still can hear Him crying
The very words of love,
"Father, forgive them!"
Look to the King, He is coming again!
The Lamb Who was slain, now forever will reign!
I'll turn away from sin, devote my life to Him
And be faithful till the Crown of Life I gain
The grace of God so freely
Appears to every man
It bringeth forth salvation
And completes Redemption's Plan
To redeem us from all evil
And to purify a people
Who belong to Him and seek to do His Will
Our glory is in heaven
What then is earthly fame?
So live a godly, righteous life
That glorifies His Name!
Let's deny our worldly passion
With assurance of salvation
And rejoice in the returning
Of our Saviour
Look to the King, He is coming again!
The Lamb Who was slain, now forever will reign!
We'll turn away from sin, devote our lives to Him
And be faithful till the Crown of Life we gain
avoid the aliens;
