i dont think that when i joined precepts on Daniel that i would have been able to gain so much from it! i thank God for helping me to see first-hand how the Bible is so well-knitted together! :D

some people may dispute that the bible is written by people or prophets who were recounting or prophesying. reading Daniel has led me to be so convinced that although it is physically written by people, it was inspired by the mind of God.

the thing about Daniel (and a large part of the Bible) is that it is quite a historical book. it is detailed in its telling, such that the names of kings, and people who served the kings were mentioned; key events were given time frames; and it was clear that God was behind all the events which happened (which included the capture of Jerusalem by Babylon, and later the fall of Babylon). it wasnt as if these people mentioned were random people from some unknown town, but these people were historically recorded as kings!

one cool thing that was mentioned by kay arthur (the speaker for precepts ministries) was that in the bible, there was this king named Belshazzar. for a long time, it was not proven that such a king existed because there was just no mention of him in whatever was dug up or recovered. so many people mocked christians for this "mysterious" mention of a king named Belshazzar. however, in the 1920s, an archeological dig was done, and it was found that there WAS a king named Belshazzar, and he was the co-ruler with his father, Nabonidus.
(:
only God is all-knowing, that he would know more than any science can prove!

im guessing that maybe this was God's way of reminding christians to just have faith in His words, and not be swayed by whoever who tries to convince us otherwise. i can just imagine God saying, "Ye of little faith!".

God does not need to be proven, He is so evidently alive in the world around us, and of course in the His word (the bible)!

for the science skeptic: what about the bible's historicity? its prophesy? so many of its prophecies have come true over the years the bible has been around! and the odds that this little book contains so many of them, its just so much evidence that this book is divinely inspired!
i just dont see how anyone can read through the bible, and not be convinced that it is truth! ):

its so sad sometimes, but all i can do is pray for my loved ones that have yet to know Christ, and perhaps, someday God may open their hearts to accept His word.
