for those who know what modules im taking this sem, you would know that i decided to take a science module about "The Search for Life on other Worlds". hahaha i know, i found the course title quite amusing too
im actually glad i took this module! its been really interesting and has opened my mind to so many new things! i had fears that this would affect my Christian walk, but now i think i am even more convinced that God is real! (:
they often talk about the big bang theory and evolution, but i can see how it could have been possible, but yet it also how it could not have been possible. i understand how God can work through an event such as the big bang, and also how there are flaws in all these theories (which is why they are still theories and not facts!)
this only goes to show how much more powerful God is, beyond the imaginations of any man! how we cant even comprehend the things that He does...
i also realised that these things dont even matter? who cares about how the earth came to be? it is only devised by people to try to explain how things came to be scientifically. all i know is that the Bible is Truth! and it is the only truth that i need (:
this module has also filled me with a new found awe of the Creator of the universe. its vastness is beyond my imagination and the mind boggling how our solar system is soooo small in galaxy, which is just one galaxy in the millions of galaxies. and how these galaxies are part of something bigger. and here we thought that the Earth is so big. haha. and its even more intriguing to see detail right down to the atoms and molecules, it just fills me with wonder of the awesome God! He created all these things that man may never understand in their whole existence.
so, i am thankful for my faith (: without it, i would be on a futile search for reason and meaning in life that i probably will never be able to reach. faith gives me reason to stop searching, because i already have a big book of Truth, and assurance that it is the very words of the Creator (:
