message was really good today. pastor yap said something that struck me! he said: whenever you feel like you are doing alright (thinking you are a pretty good person), thats when you are most offensive to God.

its so true because i often forget my own need for grace everyday. i realised that if one were to acknowledge daily the need for grace, there will be no room for pride or being disappointed with how others are behaving. there will be no attitude of "i dont do that, so im better than you" (even if you dont say it aloud). and the sins of others will only remind us about the sins that we ourselves struggle with, and humanity's need for grace.

Lord, have mercy! Christ, have mercy! Lord, have mercy on me.
