this song makes me smile so much hahaha

well i tell you what, I'm the definition of obsessive-compulsive crazy love

no, im kidding, really.
hahaha

on a different note, ive finally managed to put a word to the feelings that ive been feeling in the past week.
its the green-eyed monster, jealousy ):

so i went straight to my best friend (google) to find out if there were any ways to overcome jealousy in Christians. it turns out that jealousy is really serious and not to be taken lightly. i guess the events of last week showed me the person i am when i am under the control of jealousy, and i really dont like that person in me. but the thing is that jealousy comes in so subtly, and sometimes im even tempted to think that its alright, because i dont act on it?

but jealousy is really the result of something deeper. the article i read said that "Jealousy is the pain that arises when someone has something you don't have, which you think you need to be fully satisfied."

i dont think there is a way to wipe away the effects of jealousy if the root problem is not tackled. you can't just 'psycho' yourself not to be jealous of someone or something. it would just be like fooling yourself.

the real reason for my jealousy is the problem with my faith- that im not trusting in Jesus' promise that He will fully satisfy me, but rather, looking for other things which i think will satisy me more than Jesus.

"Jesus said to them, 'I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.' - John 6:35

i need to learn to trust in God, that whatever He gives me will only give me the most joy in Christ, and trust that God withholds nothing good from His children, so that when jealousy strikes, i can turn away from it and be fully content in Christ and his purposes.

"... that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints" - Ephesians 1:17-18

"Therefore, putting aside all malice and all guile and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the word, that by it you may grow in respect to salvation." -1 Peter 2:1-2
