God should be governing every part of your life! They always look to what seems to be morally "good" in the world to make themselves feel better. like for example, who can dispute a couple in love? love triumphs all! love will overcome all boundaries! they love each other more than anything in the world, willing to die for each other! wow no one should ever break this couple up, or else they aren't advocates for love! but its so easy to fall into the trap of putting your spouse before God! we have a greater thing to look forward to, which is our marriage with Christ and the unity that we would share. what you are doing by loving your significant other more than Christ, is breaking up the one marriage that truly matters! that is something that is too big a risk for me to take, and God-willing, i hope i never take! 

oh let Him have the things that hold you

yeah maybe i may not be struggling in the marriage department right now, but there are so many other "noble" causes out there! like going to school and doing well, and not wanting to disappoint your parents, or let yourself down. make full use of your talents to get a good job, and make a difference to society! but where do all these things fit in, in view of eternity! making a name for ourselves in this broken world, trying to enjoy every last second that we have here, but what happens when we are faced with eternity which is so different, maybe even foreign to us! 

would we enjoy eternity?

i've always wondered what God would do at the gates of heaven.. would he really ask us why He should let us in? Ive always thought that He would only let those who genuinely enjoy being in a relationship with Him, into heaven. Because after all, i dont know if there literally will be mansions and crowns, but i do know that heaven is where God's presence will be, and being free from sin and perfect to love him only! if we dont enjoy singing praises to him, listening to his voice, talking to him, thinking about him, WHAT WILL HEAVEN BE TO US THEN. it goes the same for marriage, if you dont like to be with the person, marriage would be hell to you.

i just wish there were a way to say these things to them without offending them... its difficult to oppose these "noble" causes in the world, you see. its like they are living in a dream, investing their everything into the dream which would only last the night. just like how it is like in dreams, its very difficult to convince yourself that you are dreaming. to even think about the fact that theres a possibility that you are dreaming is dffficult too! similarly its so difficult to wake them up to the face of true reality. ):
