its so heart-warming when we ask our sunday school babies what their prayer requests are... (:

their thanksgiving is so genuine, never forgetting to thank God for family and food and Jesus
we can learn much from these young ones about thanksgiving, and how at such a young age, they recognise that they can thank God for anything and everything they have, because everything comes from Him! it is only when we get older that we increasingly feel like we have less to thank God for, because a lot of it seems like the fruit of our own efforts, failing to recognise God's sovereignty over all.

their prayer requests are so sincere, never once thinking that a bruise is too small a thing to pray for
they also have such trust to commit every little injury to God, be it a little papercut/ blueblack/ scratch, because they know that God can heal! they also know that our heavenly Father is a God of love, that yearns for us to turn to Him in every trouble or pain (even the smallest ones). when we get older, we notice that our cuts and bruises somehow manage to heal on their own, forgetting that God is the healer and creator of this amazing body we have.

they are so enthusiastic to pray even if they have no clue how to, not worried that they may say something wrong or make a fool of themselves
we adults sometimes can over-think prayer. maybe we feel that we aren't the best pray-er, or we just have no mood to pray. we forget the tremendous privilege it is to be able to converse with the Almighty God and loving Father, sometimes even feel like its a burden.

its funny how we have so much to learn from these young ones... (:
