watching the YF video really brought back so many good memories!! :`)
so strange to know that we are all adults already, and that phase of my life is long gone...
im realising that YF was not like what I remembered... ive always thought that a good YF camp had to have bible studies, and lots of bible centred activities.. and if it didnt, then it was bound to be doomed. so much of the YF memories captured was just because leaders were enthusiastic about making the camp enjoyable, and praying that campers would learn more about God.
I think ive forgotten about the phase of my life where i never really liked bible studies or reading the bible or praying. I always forget that we are all works-in-progress, and even if they behave in a discouraging way now, it is no guarantee that they arent saved! maybe God is going to save them in His time, and use them mightily! so many familiar faces in the video that are still around today... unassuming.. no one expects that they would do anything great... maybe they would just be ordinary members in YF... but so many have grown up and been great influences! YF presidents, committee members, and perhaps maybe even pastors/ deacons in the future!
i have to stoop being so discouraged all the time... and trust in God's purposes and timing, doing what i can in whatever situation i am placed in, reassuring myself that God is with me (and us!) every step of the way!
this is motivation to stop being so quick to anger, slow down to listen and understand. :P
