Back from YF Camp! (: it was much better than i could have imagined, and i hope that all the newcomers will keep coming for YF! it was awesome to get to know new people, and to reconnect with the old. and so awesome that i managed to leave camp with a new understanding of Worldliness! Its not something that someone else has, but EVERYONE is worldly to some extent! Its not just wanting the obvious stuff that makes someone worldly eg. handphone, car, house. but it can also be wanting man's approval etc.
The Holy Spirit has convicted me that i struggle with acceptance, so much so that a lot of times, I look for man's acceptance above God's acceptance! Camp has taught me that I need to keep remembering that God is always around wherever I go, and there is not a moment that He is not with me. So each decision I make will be either trying to please man or God. Its definitely not easy, its like fighting the flesh which comes in full force, but I pray that God will be more and more real to me!
Made an extremely radical resolution, but I shall not say it here because it is between God and me (: Pray for the Spirit's help to carry it out because I KNOW i cant do it on my own (`:
anyway im so blessed to be spending Christmas in a nice home, and with friends and family. It reminds me that I have so much to be thankful for! Not only the company and the good food, but for Jesus too! (:
(as cliche as it sounds)
im praying that God will help me to be more thankful, and to savour the sacrifice of God in sending His Son, and not just think of it as an ancient story, long, long ago.
