it wasnt one of those chick flicks, but the more thought provoking type of show. it delved into the lives of 2 people, a father and a son, and the messiness of their strained relationship. at one part of the show, the father became homeless and almost crazy. it just made me so sad to think about how many people are out there on the streets, devoid of shelter and food. as the narrator said: "My father was an invisible man, in an invisible room, in an invisible city." 

maybe in singapore homelessness isnt that big an issue, because we don't have to worry about people freezing to death on the streets, but i cannot help but imagine how these people feel: they must be so hungry, tired (because they can never come to a place where they can truly feel at home and put all their worries aside) and alone. its depressing to be out on the streets because no one you know can offer you shelter. you are out there all alone, with no one (and no 4 walls) to protect you.
