Psalm 131 is a really interesting psalm! really short 3 verses, but so impactful!
"O LORD, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.
But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.
O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and forevermore."
It models the ideal frame of soul before God, where one is not arrogant, nor does he occupy himself with matters beyond human comprehension. He simply is content with God's presence (just like how a weaned child is content simply with his mother's presence), even when there are many things he would like God to explain.
sounds like the attitude i need to have sometimes! to just take a step back, and accept the fact that i cannot understand everything. just to simply be content with the fact that i need not understand everything, because i have a God who understands everything and holds everything in his hands!
