i dreamt of gong gong today.. i dreamt that mama was in the kitchen, and that gong gong was sitting in the living room like he usually did. in the dream, i was confused, and wondering why he was still alive! i was looking around the living room, and i saw his obituary photo, but he was sitting there - in the flesh! he turned and smiled at me.
i made my way to the kitchen to help mama back to the living room. all seemed normal, she seemed like she knew that gong gong had passed away, yet he was still sitting in the living room chair. as she sat down on the couch next to gong gong, she said: "Do you miss him?"
At that point i held mama's hand, and i reached out to hold gong gong's hand. i tried to put their hands together, but i knew that i couldn't be done. they were from 2 different worlds now. i couldn't help but burst into tears, even though it felt like he was right there beside us. ): i could still feel the warmth of his smile, and his firm embrace, and we just sat there together on the living room couch
i miss him... ):
