I was reminded today of the immense privilege it is to have God's word so readily available! I'm so thankful for cheryl's YD lesson, that reminded me that every word is God-breathed.
I was just thinking that if one day, we were to announce over the pulpit that we have a very special guest speaker for the Adult Bible Class, and it is God himself, then what would the turn-up for the class be like? haha. It also would be quite amusing to see what people would be doing during the class! I know for myself, I would be scurrying to take down notes, not wanting to miss a single word that He says, because, well, He is God! and I just want to make sure I hear everything that He is saying to us! Maybe i would even do a voice recording, maybe listen to it a few times during the week when I get home. but you know what, we are sooooo privileged to have God's word so readily available to us! We don't even have to write it down! If we wanna know what God is saying to us, all we have to do is READ (: Its like a love letter, you will read it once, read it twice, read it many times over, so that you know what exactly the person is saying to you!
So this is just a reminder to me to read His word... I was so encouraged by the YD girls who said that since they were reminded that God's word is from God, they will treat it with more respect, and take more effort to try to understand it (: For me, I want to hunger and thirst after His precepts, because it has the ultimate authority on life. Its like a life manual written by the Creator of life itself ;)
May His Spirit open our blind eyes to His truths when we diligently seek after Him (: Thank You for Your Word (:
