Thankful for a weekend of ups and downs..
i'm thankful for the person that God is changing me to be, and for how he is working in the younger ones too! You know that warm feeling in your heart when one of the naughty younger ones asks a question which shows that they are really listening and questioning their walk with God? It really makes me feel so happy that God is working in him!! Lindsay was saying that "that is true Joy" (: That's something that keeps me going in this ever-changing youth ministry... Even though there is a high level of disappointment, there is also an equally high level of reward! (: So privileged to be a part of God's mission in reconciling all things to himself (:
Also, so thankful for one-on-one conversations and words spoken from the heart. That i'm able to rest in the fact that I can be who I am, without any pretense, and still feel that connection of 2 hearts beating as one (:
All this was 2 days ago, and I was just basking in the joy of knowing Christ and his people. Then yesterday came, and it wasn't what I anticipated.
But it is days like yesterday that teach me that life does not always have ups, but there are downs too. Especially when you are so high on the previous day, the next day could just have been normal, but it just seems that much lower, y'know what i mean?
Ah well. its days like yesterday that teach me to long for His coming kingdom. "In His presence is the fullness of joy" (:
