So happy today (: I just came back from YD prep with Cheryl and Wanjee feeling a sense of joy in my heart. We were doing 3 John, and the thing which struck me was the warmth of fellowship amongst believers, and how God's world was ideally meant to be one where we help one another without expecting anything in return. So if one was in lack, those with enough would contribute to those in lack, just like they would love their own bodies. We are the body of Christ (:
Also amazing to see John's greatest joy was to see fellow believers walking in truth! Greatest joy eh! imagine that! So many times I fail to be hospitable to the people that I meet. I learnt today that hospitality is so much more than the hospitality desk/ talking to new comers in church. There are so many things you can do for one another if Christ's Name, and because we have a common goal, which is to bring glory to His Name. Wanjee was sharing about how her Japanese pastor drove her down to the hot sptings in the mountains to take a break after her traumatic surgery, and just to rest from her ministry. And he even offered to bring her parents down to the same place when they are coming to visit her in Japan (: Such a nice gesture of hospitality, which is something that would not have even crossed my mind to do!
But im so thankful that God has put this indescribable joy in my heart as I cycled home to the song "Even Me" by I am They. It was the joy that God loves me just as I am. He is slowly working in me, and is even more patient with me than I am with myself!
